It is a Florida Department of Corrections placement. The facility's name describes a correctional program and setting, not a finished sentence or an unconditional community exit.
Temporary outside activity, work participation, furlough, or transfer cannot be turned into final discharge without the individual FDC record. A person may move from Atlantic to another Martin component or a different state institution and remain confined under the same state term. A true prison exit appears in the Inmate Release database. Verify Atlantic Center Release

Atlantic Center Release History
FDC's active population record uses the field Current Release Date. It is subject to change after gain-time awards, gain-time forfeiture, or review. “TO BE SET” means review is not complete. FDC reports that release dates and location changes update nightly, while the full population database receives a weekly refresh.
The Inmate Release search also updates nightly. It includes people already released and those scheduled for release, so its Release Date is not always historical. Read it with the custody field, Date Out-Custody, incarceration periods, detainers, and sentence history. A future date is a forecast. A past date supported by the ended custody period is evidence of an actual exit.

Atlantic Release Versus PBSO
PBSO has no authoritative facility record for Atlantic. The Booking Blotter may show a Palm Beach County arrest that occurred before a state sentence. Its date filters select booking events within the portal's rolling prior-year window, not Atlantic release events. A person could remain discoverable by county booking date long after moving into FDC, while the actual state discharge is controlled elsewhere.
The Palm Beach Clerk case can connect the local arrest to a conviction, sentence, and commitment. During the short period between county transport and FDC data entry, the judgment and PBSO transfer can explain why the county roster ended. Once the state record posts, use its DC number to follow each FDC placement and eventual exit.
This creates a source boundary. PBSO documents the end of county custody. FDC documents Atlantic placement, state transfers, release calculations, and discharge. The Clerk documents what the court ordered. None of the three should be asked to certify another agency's event.

Atlantic Supervision After Release
Leaving Atlantic can be followed by state supervision. FDC's Supervised Population search can list probation, parole, conditional release, community control, or another state term. Match the supervision entry with the same DC number. Read the supervision type, start date, scheduled termination information, and office. Parole is not a synonym for all releases. Florida's ordinary parole eligibility is limited mainly to specified older offense categories, and the Florida Commission on Offender Review handles that authority.
