Palm Beach Released Mugshot Sources
The best source depends on where the person was booked or confined. PBSO owns the county booking photograph. FDC may hold a later correctional photograph if the person entered state prison or state supervision. A court record can explain the case result, but it is not a complete photo archive. Published news may show a selected case image and commercial sites may retain old copies; those categories should never replace an official custody and release check.
| Channel | Has photo? | How to access |
|---|---|---|
| PBSO Booking Blotter | Not confirmed on every current result | Search the booking by name and date, complete hCaptcha, and inspect the matching result. |
| PBSO Central Records | Yes, when a responsive booking photograph is maintained and public | Request the booking photo or booking face sheet through GovQA or another PBSO channel. |
| FDC offender databases | Often, when present on a state record | Use Release, Population, or Supervised Population based on the person’s state status. |
| PBSO ConnectProtect | No documented jail-photo feature | Do not use it as a mugshot or inmate-search tool. |
| Official agency news | Selected cases only | Search PBSO news, then confirm the custody event in the source record. |
| News or third-party copies | Sometimes | Treat as publication history only; do not use it as proof of release. |
A booking photograph records appearance during intake. It does not establish guilt, a final court result, or current custody. Match the booked name with the booking number, date, physical details, and court case. PBSO warns that identity is conclusively established by fingerprints.
Palm Beach Mugshot Portal Limits
The PBSO Booking Blotter is a rolling booking search, not a released-person photo gallery. It covers people currently held or booked during the prior year. The date field searches the booking event, so a person released today may have to be found with an older booking date. Its hCaptcha-protected result flow prevented a reliable finding that every current result displays a photograph.
The search form accepts date, name, address, statute, and arresting agency. Each date range is capped at 31 days. A correct booking hit can lead to a photo if the live result supplies one, but the release itself should be confirmed through the displayed release data, Inmate Records, a public-records request, or the court file.
The official PBSO booking screen shows the discovery window and search fields.
This image documents the booking-based search. It does not show a separate mugshot gallery or release-date feed.
Note: A booking that falls outside the public one-year window may still have a responsive photograph in PBSO Central Records.
Request Palm Beach Booking Photos
The most reliable official fallback is a focused request to PBSO Central Records. Ask for the “booking photograph” or “booking face sheet,” not simply a mugshot. Provide enough detail to locate the right intake record while avoiding a broad search.
- Give the full booked name and any known alias. Include the booking or jacket number when available.
- Add the approximate arrest or booking date, date of birth if known, and Main or West facility when known.
- State that the request seeks the booking photograph or booking face sheet for that booking.
- Ask for electronic delivery if preferred and request an estimate before extensive work or special media is used.
- Request the release date, time, method, and transfer or hold entry separately when the photo must be tied to the custody exit.
PBSO accepts requests through GovQA, in person, by telephone, and by mail. A requester need not identify themselves, give a reason, or submit in writing. The current fee sheet lists 4-by-6 photographs at $0.16, 8-by-10 photographs at $0.32, and contact sheets at $0.35. Digital delivery and staff review may produce different actual or extensive-use costs. PBSO posts no photo-specific turnaround promise.
The official request interface displays the GovQA path and other channels. See the PBSO request source below.
A narrow request reduces search time and helps Central Records distinguish one booking image from similarly named records.
Florida Records After Palm Beach Release
FDC provides a separate official photo channel for people who entered the state correctional system. Its Inmate Release, Inmate Population, and Supervised Population databases can display offender photographs when present. A state image documents the FDC record, not necessarily the earlier PBSO intake.
Use the FDC Inmate Release search for someone released or scheduled for release from state custody. Search by DC number when possible, or use name and aliases. Match the DC number, date of birth, descriptors, photo, county, case number, and sentence history. The database excludes a person whose only record was county jail or county probation, so no FDC hit does not rule out a PBSO booking photograph.
An FDC release result can show the actual Release Date, custody, aliases, detainers, incarceration periods, and sentence history. The official sample result layout is shown below as an interface example, not as a person featured here.
The FDC layout helps connect an official correctional image with a state release record, while the PBSO image remains tied to the county booking.
Palm Beach Mugshot App Claims
PBSO ConnectProtect should not be offered as a photo-search workaround. The official ConnectProtect description lists two-way agency communication, local bulletins, reports, and news. It does not advertise inmate lookup, a release list, jail photographs, or custody alerts.
The PBSO News page may contain selected arrest-related images or agency releases. It is not a complete archive of Palm Beach County booking photos. Local news may likewise preserve an image from a reported case, but the report should be treated as coverage from its publication date. Verify release through PBSO, the court, or FDC.
Commercial mugshot publishers and other third parties may hold copies after the official public search window. They are only a category of possible discovery. No commercial publisher, data broker, or removal service is linked or endorsed here. Their dates, charges, photographs, and custody claims can remain stale after the official case changes.
- Booking photograph
- An intake image linked to an arrest booking, not a finding of guilt.
- Release record
- The agency event showing when and how its custody ended or moved.
- Disposition
- The court’s later resolution of a charge, which may differ from the booking-stage facts.
Palm Beach Mugshot Removal Law
Florida Statutes §901.43 addresses covered publishers of arrest booking photographs. A covered publisher may not ask for or accept payment to remove a photo. The depicted person or a legal representative may send a registered-mail written request with proof of identity and identifying facts. A covered publisher must remove the image without charge within ten calendar days and must not republish it.
The law permits injunctions, daily civil penalties for noncompliance, and fees or costs in stated circumstances. Its exceptions matter. Section 901.43 does not grant a universal right to erase a lawful PBSO, FDC, court, or news image. It targets specified publisher conduct, especially payment-driven removal practices.
A photo also cannot prove release. Pair it with the PBSO release entry, Palm Beach court file, or FDC Release Date. The Palm Beach County release-record search explains that custody-based sequence for a named person.
Palm Beach Sealed Photo Records
Sealing and expunction are separate from the publisher-removal process. Florida Statutes §943.059 governs sealing, while §943.0585 governs expunction. Expunction means qualifying criminal-history material is destroyed or removed from ordinary access under the court order and statutory rules. Sealing restricts ordinary access without using the same legal effect.
The Palm Beach County Clerk process follows FDLE eligibility and certificate steps before local filing. Eligibility is case-specific. A granted order affects official handling, but it does not promise that every earlier lawful news or third-party copy vanishes from all places.
Juvenile, victim-related, sealed, expunged, and other exempt material may be restricted. Do not infer that a missing photo proves expunction. It could reflect the search window, a portal change, redaction, an exemption, a record mismatch, or the absence of an image on that public result.
Note: The court order and the agency response control access; a missing web image alone does not establish a sealed or expunged record.
Verify Palm Beach Mugshot Identity
Use a photograph as one matching clue, not the sole identity test. Compare the booking or DC number, full name and aliases, date of birth, booking date, facility, county, case number, and physical descriptors. An older image can differ greatly from current appearance, and common names can produce the wrong record.
| Question | Official source |
|---|---|
| Was this the PBSO booking image? | PBSO booking result or Central Records response tied to the booking number |
| Did county custody end? | PBSO release date/time and method, confirmed with Inmate Records if fresh |
| What happened in court? | Palm Beach County eCaseView disposition, order, sentence, or docket |
| Did state custody follow? | FDC Population, Release, and Supervised Population records |
| Was the PBSO exit a transfer? | Hold or transfer entry plus the receiving custodian’s record |
A recent booking photo may appear near the time of a custody event, but it is not a last-24-hours release record. The Released Last 24 Hours page explains how to seek the official daily release list when timing is the real question.
